Thanksgiving Day Fun [Video]

by Financial Design Studio, Inc. / November 23, 2021

It’s Thanksgiving time again and we wanted to record a fun way that you can get to know someone, to get to know something about us, or something you can do on Thanksgiving with friends or family.  We have a cup full of questions we’ll pass around full of funny questions to ask others.

Passing the Questions for Thanksgiving Day Fun

First up, Michelle!  This is a great question for me.  What is your favorite type of donut?  Spunky Dunker’s Chocolate Iced rings.  What is your favorite board game, card game, or other family game?  Mine has to be Uno.  It’s easy enough that everyone can learn it, but also hard enough that you can use some strategy.

Now I’ll pass it off to Trevore.  If you could ask your pet two questions what would they be?  Oh I would ask our dog named, Armor,  does she actually like the cold?  She acts like she does but I’m not sure.  The other question I would ask her is who is her favorite, me or my wife? I’m always curious about that.

Question two is if you could take a month’s long road trip where or what route would you go?  Funny story with this is when I was graduating school from Virginia Tech my best friend and I, at the time, went on a month and a half long road trip.  The route we took was way down south.  We went through Alabama, Georgia, all through Texas and then worked our way up North.

The best part of that trip was driving on Route 1 as the sun was setting. It was just an absolutely beautiful drive.  That trip actually brought me here to Chicago.  I had never really been through Chicago before and when we visited here in the summer time I said I wanted to live here.  Obviously that’s not the best decision process, as I had not experienced the winter here, but it worked out well and I am thankful to be here now.

Next it is Rob’s turn.  Are you usually early or late?  I think all my teammates here know that I like to be early.  I have always been the kind of guy who gets to places 10-15 minutes early. Just because I think of every possible type of disaster and I don’t like to be late.  I always, always arrive early.

The second question I have is If you could ask your dog two questions, what would they be?  I am so glad I got this question too.  This is very pertinent to me.  I have had to deal with this just this week.  Why do you roll around in your poop outside in the yard?  Especially when I am busy doing something and I have to give him a bath.  My second question is how do you possibly know that it is exactly 5pm feeding time even with the time change that we just had last week. I don’t know how they do it but they’ve got it figured out. They literally come to my office every day at 5pm on the dot.

Finally passing the cup to Steve.  If you had to live in one place you’ve visited on vacation, which one would be your first choice?  This past year our family got to do something we have not done in a while. We got to go to Hawaii!  We took our daughter and that was a blast spending time on the beach. The weather was 82 degrees every day.  It is an expensive place to live but it was a lot of fun.  Next question is what language would you like to master?  I think Spanish would be very practical. However, speaking something like Japanese, something no one would think I knew would be fun.  It would be interesting being able to eavesdrop on a conversation.

We hope this has been fun to learn something new about us. We can all use a good laugh and have some good Thanksgiving day fun! If this is something you want to try we have the questions below for you.  You can just print them out, cut them up, and put them in a cup and pass it around.  From our families to yours; Happy Thanksgiving!
