Celebrate Little Financial Milestones Along the Way

As corporate earnings start to roll in this week, we wanted to take a moment to remind you to celebrate the little financial milestones along the way.  Do you ever find yourself generally unhappy? Unhappy with your investment performance, financial situation or progress towards goals. Your accounts may all be up yet you still find yourself dissatisfied.

With all the volatility this year, the markets have been performing well.  Even with everything seemingly “amazing,” it can be easy to dwell on the negative.  We are filled with negative news and noise that can easily take our focus off the positive things we should notice. That’s why it’s important to focus on little financial milestones.

Why is it important to keep the positive progress in mind related to little financial milestones?

If you can’t celebrate the progress forward, how will you feel when you actually reach your goal(s)?  Can we actually enjoy the journey along the way? There will always be negative stories and problems that need solved but remember the big picture and try to keep some perspective.

The great thing about setting a plan in place is that you can track where you are along the way.
